COMPLETE PLAN
When we deliver, it’s not just a finished product—it’s a solution you can trust, backed by real care and effort.
The Art of Living and Dying was born from the quiet, profound moments witnessed at the bedside during life’s most vulnerable transitions AND the process of letting go of a life. As an end-of-life doula, I have seen the family dynamics, the lingering loose ends, and the unspoken weight carried near the end when an individual’s only focus should be resting and letting their body transition.
While we may not know how or when our story ends, we can give ourselves and our loved ones the gift of certainty by controlling the details we leave behind.
This course offers a dedicated space to explore your options, resolve lingering details, and create a clear roadmap so your family knows your exact wishes and where to find them. Through letter writing, open conversation, and practical planning, we transform your values into lasting peace in 1 month.

4 week course designed to meet at an in-person setting at the beginning and end of our sessions. In-between the 4 weeks several virtual meetings take place online with the group for continued education. Additional virtual meetings are with the facilitator in a 1-on-1 and/or with a chosen peer from the cohort. On the last day, we meet again to discuss our findings, sign documents with a notary & celebrate the time spent together learning over foods & sound bath.

-
You've been meaning to create a Will or Trust but don't know where to start.
You want to talk about death without having to pretend it's not happening.
You want to understand your choices for end-of-life care.
You have information scattered across your home, computer, or head and want to bring it together.
You want your loved ones to have a clearer idea of your wishes.
You'd benefit from having a small community and some accountability to actually finish what you start.
-
End-of-life planning is the process of thinking through, communicating, and documenting how you want to be cared for and what matters to you as you approach the end of life. It can include practical matters such as Wills, Trusts, advance directives, powers of attorney, funeral or disposition preferences, and organizing important information for the people who may need it. But planning is also about the human pieces: your values, relationships, spiritual or cultural traditions, personal wishes, and the stories you want to leave behind. It gives you an opportunity to make choices while you are well and able, rather than leaving loved ones to guess during a difficult time.
-
Anyone who wants to become more prepared for their own death or for the possibility of supporting someone they love. You don't need to be elderly, ill, or facing an immediate end-of-life situation to participate. Anyone who’s interested in end-of-life planning is welcome.
-
No. While grief and loss may naturally be part of our conversations, The Art of Living & Dying is primarily an educational and preparation experience. We focus on understanding your options, identifying your wishes, organizing important information, and becoming more comfortable having conversations about death and dying.
-
2 full day retreats. 1-3 hours of individual support with facilitators/professionals, several hours accountability with another member of your cohort. Depending on your specific estate needs, additional “homework” will be discussed on a case-by-case basis, whether it’s to begin or complete a Will or Trust -online or with an attorney which may take hours or days.
However long it takes, in these 4 weeks, you will have professional and peer support to help guide you through.
-
No. You don't need to have the right words or even know exactly how you feel about death. The purpose of the experience is to create a space where you can explore these topics at your own pace, without judgment. As long as you are okay listening to others talk about this topic, we encourage listening as participation too.
-
No. In fact, this experience is designed in part for people who have been putting it off because they don't know where to begin.
-
The program includes a simple planning binder and guided preparation process. You'll have time to organize your information, clarify your wishes, and prepare for completing your legal documents. If you're using attorney-prepared Will or Trust documents, you'll have an opportunity to complete the signing and notarization process during our final gathering.
